Early in the process you can borrow our expertise to bring forward an efficient and sensible production layout to size the buildings you’ll need on site, we then sketch how the building might look.

As with the business plan, having a solid production layout and engaging “postcard view” of your new distillery can really help to accelerate the funding stage.

Gaining planning permission for a new distillery is a huge milestone, and we’ve found that no site particularly straightforward. If you have a listed building, scheduled ancient monument, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), agricultural land or are in a National Park, we have gained consent there.

Your distillery should be as good as your spirit; making the most of the site, understanding the local climate, using materials and finishes which reflect the brand.

These buildings will be producing spirit long after we’re all gone so we aim to create places which get better with age.

Working with new craft distillers, the move to decarbonise distilling has become increasingly important over the last few years. We have designed one of the “greenest distilleries in the world”*(link to article) and a Net Zero verified distillery producing certified organic spirit.
