Portavadie Distillery goes for planning

A planning application has been submitted for a new distillery on the site of Polphail Village near Portavadie.

The proposals are for a collection of linked buildings built into a sloping site overlooking Loch Fyne based around a traditional coastal town .

Each building is sized to match its use, visitors enter from the higher ground straight into the first floor with the taller process equipment lower on the slope, this gives the impression of a single storey building on approach, mindful of the scale of buildings in this landscape.

We have worked as lead consultant on the project, bringing together and directing the design team to develop the designs with our client.
